The Artist
For around ten years, Vaskoz has been tattooing in the heart of Protaras, quietly building one of the most trusted names for custom work on the Famagusta coast of Cyprus. What began as a passion for drawing became a craft measured in thousands of hours under the needle — and a studio that locals across Paralimni and visitors from Ayia Napa return to whenever they want a piece done properly rather than in a hurry.
His work spans several styles rather than a single house look: delicate fine-line and script, rich black & grey, portrait and object realism, bold lettering, and considered cover-ups that reclaim an older tattoo into something you are proud to wear again. Whatever the style, the priorities stay the same — precise, confident linework, clean shading that ages well, and a design built to still look right in ten or twenty years. Vaskoz treats every booking as a lifetime piece rather than a quick sale, which is why so much of the studio's work comes from clients returning for their next tattoo and sending their friends and family.
Precision on the skin starts with precision at the station. Hygiene is treated as non-negotiable — single-use needles opened in front of you and disposed of after every client, fresh gloves and barriers, fully sterilised equipment and a spotless station set up new for each person. The studio operates to professional health and safety standards, so first-timers and nervous holiday clients can relax and simply enjoy the experience.
Just as important is how the chair feels. The atmosphere is calm and genuinely welcoming, both English and Greek are spoken, and there is no pressure and no upselling — just honest guidance, good conversation, and an artist who wants you to leave happy with a tattoo that lasts.
